Diamond Spring

Well here we are again another weekend is here, we change the clocks this weekend so it will be light longer, that will be nice.
I am sharing my card with you today that I have made for my SIL Mum, she has had an operation this week so I thought something nice and bright would hopefully help her recovery.
I have gone for a diamond spring card, first time I have done one to actually make from scratch, so I'm quite pleased with it for a novice!.
I have used Centura Pearl  to make the card from Crafters Companion, the papers I have used were spring flowers from a free paper stack with a magazine, I matted and layered it onto mirri card.
The topper is one of the die-cut decoupage Reddy  from Crafters Companion, I matted and layered the topper onto co-ordinations card stock which I also got from Crafters Companion.. I have put a couple of bows from my stash.

Two Bad Mice

Hello everyone hope you are having a good day so far, those of you going to the NEC have a great time.

I thought I would share with you my card I made yesterday, I really enjoyed doing this one, it's a little different for me, I thought I needed to expand on variety, so here I have done a twisted easel card.
I have used my Beatrix Potter Cd Tale of two Bad Mice which is available from Crafters Companion.
I just love this image.
I have used Centura Pearl to make my card, co-ordinations for matting and layering, papers from the Cd and the decoupage and I have used one of the sentiments from the Cd too.

Well Today's The Day!!

Morning all hope you are all ok, I would like to say on this sunny morning, but it's dull.

Firstly I would like to say hello to my new followers.

Well today is the launch of the NEW BEATRIX POTTER yay! from  Crafters Companion tonight at 9 pm on Ideal world, how exciting I just can't wait. I hope you will all be watching Sara tonight.

So I thought I would share with you a card I made yesterday from the previous collections, I have taken the  paper, borders  and decoupage  from Appley Dapply's Nursery Rhymes. Cd rom. I thought I would get into the Beatrix Potter swing for tonight.

 So here is my creation, I think this image of Appley Dapply is gorgeous.

TIME FOR ANOTHER CHALLENGE AT LEXIS CREATIONS

Hello all another weekend over don't know where the time goes. Firstly I would like to say a big hello to my new follower and thank you all for your lovely comments on my blog.
It's another Challenge at Lexis Creations and the theme this week is Easter.

It was lovely looking at all your wonderful creations in our last challenge, they where amazing.
For my card I have made an A5 card the papers I have used are from my Swalk Cd that is available from Crafters Companion. I have used my nesties to cut the image and card and paper for matting and layering.
The chicks where saved on my computer, the ribbons buttons and flowers are from my stash, I have also used some mirri card for matting and layering too.
This gorgeous bunny is from Fairy Dust Crafts Easter Snuffles, and to bring him alive I have used my pastel Spectrum Noir pens.

Mother's Day

Well can you believe it another weekend comes around, I have been having a play this morning to get some inspiration for my Mums Mother's Day card, I just couldn't decide what to do, in the end I went through my Elementary card kits CD from MCS and this was the one I chose so I hope she likes it.
The papers topper borders were all on the 1 A4 sheet and I printed off a co-ordinating paper that I have saved on the computer, I used Flower Power Co-ordinations from  Crafters Companion, which I ordered yesterday and it came this morning there was one in there that matched perfectly for matting a layering so that was  lucky. I used some ribbon from my stash.

It took me longer to decide what to do than it did making it.

Paintbox Poppets

Evening all hope you have all had a good day, mine has been a bit hectic to say the least, I had to go out but I shouldn't have it really took it out of me, but never mind..
Well last night I went through my Paintbox Poppet's cd and printed of a design, I must say it's a stunning cd, I started cutting out and glueing and sticking as you do, made the decoupage up and it looked gorgeous and I was really pleased, I pick it up admiring it and omg I was distressed how many of you have done it and stuck it on the wrong way it was upside down, Now wouldn't you think doing this before you would learn by your mistakes, I bet you do, but me! no I never learn, get so carried away but it's so annoying .I just couldn't believe I had done it again.
Anyway I sat this afternoon and re printed another one out and made sure it was the right way up this time.
I printed of a backing paper and co-ordinating paper and decoupage topper, I used some mirri card for matting ans layering, I also used a MS punch on the co-ordinating paper and used some dotty ribbon and little pearls.

So here is my card I eventually got right.It is a Mothers Day card Jodie and Nick's Grans, they always send them cards too.
So the challenges I would like to enter my card into are-

Ginger Snap Creations - Border Punch.
My Mums Craft Shop- Mums or Special Ladies.

I hope I've given you a smile tonight,I can laugh about it now but I was really cross with myself.

Boofle

Hello all I am still here, not been on much as still not well, but thought I would do a post today.
The weather is awful today very damp and misty, I have been trying to my Mother's Day cards done with not much success so far.
There have been some gorgeous cards in blog land recently, lots of inspiration when your in need of some, like me!!.
I went mad the other day and bought some of the gorgeous Boofle, he's so cute, and I love the little poem of how he was born, if I can find it I will put on the end of my post.
I made a DL card out of Centura Pearl from Crafters Companion, I have matted and layered with some mirri card and papers from the Boofle paper pack. I chose the decoupage Birthday that is ideal for the DL size card.

The Challenges I would like to enter my card into are:-

Creative Mondays - Anything Goes .
Crafting When We Can- Animals.

Here is the Boofle Poem
Grandads wooly cardy had seen better days, It was still soft and cosy and a little bit frayed.
There were holes in the elbows and just one button remained, but, from this, Nanny was sure something else could be made.
So she started to sew on that cold winters night, and Boofle was born, much to the children's delight.
Boofle was all that a snugglesome pup should be loveable and cuddly and a best friend to you and me.

New Life

Hello all hope you have had a good day, it's been awful here raining and very windy, I have been crafting after I did some ironing, I thought it was about time I did.
I have been loving all of the sneak peaks of the new cd and stamps from Crafters Companion the artwork is gorgeous, I can't wait for the launch on Friday.
I thought I would share with you a card I made a couple of weeks ago, my Sister became a granny, so I made them a card.

This gorgeous image is from my Popcorn Platinum Cd, that is available from Crafters Companion I printed a backing paper co-ordinating paper and a decoupage image.

MOTHER'S DAY AT LEXIS CREATIONS

Hello all I hope you had a good weekend, sorry I haven't been around much I have been poorly, but hoping another trip to the drs and more antibiotics will do the trick, anyway enough of me.

It's time for another challenge at Lexis Creations, this weeks theme is Mother's Day, which thinking about it won't be long.
My Creation this week is Mummy bug which is available from Fairy Dust Crafts. I used my Spectrum Nior Pens to bring this gorgeous Mummy Bug to life, I have used papers from my Daisy and Dandelion paper pack, the ribbon is from my stash and so is the butterfly. I have used my MS punch with butterflies and my heart embellishment on I made with my Epiphany Tool that is available from Crafters Companion.
Our sponsor for this challenge is Fairy Dust Crafts and the winner will be able to choose 5 digi images of their choice.
